Discover “Three Perspectives”: A Celebration of Contemporary Kurdish Art
The American University of Kurdistan (AUK) is currently hosting the vibrant exhibition “Three Perspectives”, featuring the works of Bahaaddin Mohammadi Rad, Sali Mezori, and Asso Mamzada. Open until September 2025, the show offers a captivating glimpse into contemporary Kurdish creativity.
Three Unique Artistic Visions:
Bahaaddin Mohammadi Rad – Combining Western techniques with Eastern sensibilities, his paintings and sculptures often depict majestic horses and sema dancers, reflecting Kurdish cultural heritage.
Sali Mezori – With a multidisciplinary background in painting, animation, and cinema, Mezori’s symbolic and abstract works, including the “Galaxy Collection,” merge modern aesthetics with Kurdish tradition.
Asso Mamzada – Renowned for graphic design, Mamzada’s pieces—from logos to posters—blend philosophical depth with cultural pride, showing design as a form of high art.
Beyond showcasing art, the exhibition features workshops and interactive activities, engaging both students and the public to experience Kurdish creativity firsthand.
